Our rules for translating figures
Figures are copied, never rephrased
Every number, decimal point and thousands separator stays as in the original, and we flag the convention used where it differs between languages.
Negative values and brackets
Brackets around a figure mean a negative value in financial statements. We keep them exactly, and the reviewer checks them specifically.
Recognised accounting terms
We use the established equivalents from the International Financial Reporting Standards as adopted in the Kingdom, so “current liabilities” never turns into a confusing literal phrase.
Financial year and dates
We state the financial year as in the original, Hijri or Gregorian, without converting it ourselves.
Tables and notes
Line items and note numbers stay in order, so readers can move from a statement to its note easily.
Confidentiality first
Financial statements and bank statements are sensitive. Only the translator and reviewer assigned to your file see them, and we sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before receiving them if you ask.
Turnaround and cost
Audited statements vary widely in size and density, so we set the timing and cost after seeing the file. For close deadlines we deliver the same day or at the time confirmed with your quote, with an extra fee for urgent work. Large annual reports can be delivered in stages.
