Technical & Industrial Translation for Oil, Gas & Manufacturing

The Eastern Province is the industrial heart of the Kingdom: oil and gas fields, petrochemical complexes in Jubail, the Ras Tanura refinery area, Dammam’s industrial cities, and thousands of contractors and equipment suppliers serving them. Here an operating manual is written in English, explained to a technician in Arabic, Urdu or Hindi, and reviewed in a safety report read by an engineer from a third country. At Almadani Translation’s Al Khobar branch we provide technical translation with a glossary for every project, second-translator review, and a stamp and signature whenever you need a certified translation.

Why technical translation is different

One term must stay one term

If “isolation” is translated one way on page one and another way on page ten, a technician may read two different procedures. So we build a glossary for each project, apply it across every document, and hand it over to you for future use.

Safety instructions allow no ambiguity

Warning, caution and danger statements have fixed forms. We translate them clearly and directly and keep the hazard level exactly as in the original.

Figures, units and symbols

Pressures, temperatures, torques and dimensions are carried over with their units, and part and tag numbers are never translated. The second translator checks these items specifically.

Workforce languages

Safety instructions work better when workers read them in their own language. We translate into Arabic and English, and into Urdu, Hindi, Bengali, Tagalog, Nepali and more, including African languages.

Drawings and large files

We translate the text on engineering drawings, including tables, notes and symbol legends, and agree the delivery format that suits your team. For manuals running to hundreds of pages, we split the work into batches and deliver urgent sections first, such as safety instructions before appendices.

Confidentiality

Specifications, proposals and drawings are intellectual property belonging to you and your client. Only the assigned team sees them, and we sign a non-disclosure agreement before receiving them if you ask.

Turnaround and cost

These depend on file size, level of specialisation and the languages required. Send the file or a sample and we will send a quote and delivery time. Short urgent documents can be delivered the same day or at the time confirmed with your quote, with an extra fee for urgent work.

Technical translation FAQ

Yes. Send it with the file and we will apply it throughout.

Can you translate safety instructions into workers’ languages?
