Certified Legal and Contract Translation in the Eastern Province
In a contract, a single word can shift an entire obligation. The difference between “shall” and “may” can be the difference between a right you hold and a duty you owe. That is why Almadani Translation’s Al Khobar branch treats contracts and legal documents with a fixed method. A legal translator translates, a second translator reviews every clause, and then the translation is stamped and signed. We can sign a non-disclosure agreement before we receive any file.
Who needs contract translation in the Eastern Province?
The province’s energy, petrochemical, industrial and logistics sectors depend on a long chain of local and international contractors and suppliers. That means a constant stream of contracts written in two languages, or signed in one language and then submitted to a party that works in another. The clients who ask us for this service most often include:
- Contractors and suppliers in Dhahran, Jubail and Ras Tanura who subcontract with foreign companies, or who submit contracts as part of pre-qualification files with major clients.
- New companies and foreign partnerships that need articles of association, shareholder agreements or partner resolutions translated.
- Employees and professionals who need an employment contract translated for a family visa or an authority back home, or who want the Arabic and English versions checked against each other.
- Individuals in legal proceedings who need a judgment, deed, power of attorney or notarial document translated for use inside or outside the Kingdom.
- Landlords and tenants who need lease agreements and title deeds translated.

How we translate a contract
1. Read the whole contract first
We don’t translate clause one until we understand the entire agreement. The definitions at the start govern the meaning of terms throughout, and cross-references between clauses must still point to the right place after translation.
2. Consistent terminology
A term translated one way in clause 3 must be translated the same way in clause 30. We keep party names, project names and site names identical throughout the document, and across related documents if you send them together.
3. Precise obligation language
We distinguish carefully between mandatory, permissive and prohibitive wording, and between terms such as guarantee, surety and indemnity. Mixing them up can change how liability is split between the parties.
4. Figures, amounts and periods
Every amount, date, period and percentage is checked against the original. The second translator reviews figures as a separate step.
5. Preserved formatting
Clause numbering, tables and schedules are kept intact so the original and the translation are easy to compare. If you need a two-column bilingual version, tell us when you order.
6. Second review, then certification
A second translator reads the full translation against the source, and the document is then stamped and signed by our certified office.
A tip before you sign a bilingual contract
If you are signing a contract with Arabic and English versions, look for the clause that says which version prevails if they differ, and make sure the two versions really match before you sign. Send us both versions and we can translate one or check it against the other. Legal advice on the substance of the contract is a matter for your legal adviser. Our job is to make sure the translation says exactly what the original says.
Confidentiality
Contracts carry business secrets: pricing, terms, client names and plans. So:
- Only the team working on your file sees it
- We can sign a non-disclosure agreement before receiving files
- You can send files on WhatsApp or by email to info@almadanitranslation.co
Turnaround and cost
Both depend on the number of pages, the density of the text and how specialised it is. Send the contract, or just its first pages and total page count, and you will receive an exact price and delivery time before we start. If a signing or submission deadline is close, ask for urgent service. We will deliver the same day or at the time we confirm with you, and an extra fee applies. Urgent certified translation
Contract translation FAQ
Will courts and notaries accept your translation?
We provide a certified translation, stamped and signed by a licensed office (license No. 64). Almadani Translation is also listed on the translator lists of the British Embassy and the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh. Acceptance is always decided by the receiving authority, so we recommend confirming its requirements in advance, especially if the document will be used outside the Kingdom and needs further legalisation.
Can you handle long corporate contracts?
Yes. We agree a clear delivery schedule with you, and urgent sections can be delivered first.
Can you translate contracts in languages other than Arabic and English?
Yes. We translate from and into any language, including African languages.
Can I receive the printed copy without visiting?
Yes. The stamped printed copy can be delivered to you or collected from our Al Khobar branch.
Can I send the contract as a Word file?
Yes, and it helps us preserve the formatting. We also accept PDFs and clear images.
